My client, a highly successful, growing, Boston-based digital marketing agency, is seeking an SVP Media to lead our company as we expand our global presence.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned digital media leader with a strong ability to develop channel strategies and solutions that will drive success for our clients in the continuously
evolving digital space. This person should have proven experience developing and executing innovative programs for global brands that leverage display media, search engine
marketing, social media and mobile in order to drive successful results and high client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Provide vision and leadership to our expanding media and channel teams as they deliver products and services for clients while supporting agency goals; serve as the primary source of expertise within the agency on media issues
Supervise the development of strategic channel and media approaches that meet client objectives and drive measurable results
Manage current service offerings including definition and standardization of deliverables and processes
Determine new offerings based on the evolving digital marketplace or client demand; provide a holistic viewpoint in order to optimize across channels
Develop and/or supervise creation and implementation of social media program; monitor the overall satisfaction of clients and account teams with the products and services provided
by the department
Manage professional development and growth of the media group including drafting reviews, mentoring, training and making staffing recommendations
Manage strategic senior-level relationships for our largest clients and helping to guide them with knowledge and solutions appropriate to their businesses, industries and trends
Participate in business development opportunities in conjunction with Sales and Marketing team including creation of pitch materials, presentations, scoping and more
Work closely with Managing Director as part of senior leadership team to define future direction of account team and overall agency, as well as new products and services
As necessary, develop and manage third party vendors or contractors required to provide products or services to meet the department?s delivery mandates
Develop points of view on interactive marketing and media related to specific verticals, industry trends, and/or client experiences to share through social platforms and marketing materials while actively representing it externally at trade conferences, in the press and on industry councils
Stay current on trends across evolving media channels and related technologies


Requirements:

10+ years of digital media experience; 5+ years in digital strategic planning
5+ years agency experience
5+ years managing, building and motivating teams
Expertise and demonstrable success with media planning/strategy, search marketing, social media
Ability to understand client objectives and translate them into media strategies
Proven business development experience, leadership ability and history of fostering effective client and vendor relationships
Knowledge and understanding of relevant tools and resources including research partners (such as ComScore), ad servers, search engines, analytics, as well as Omniture, AdRelevance, etc
Solid understanding of online advertising and direct marketing performance metrics, proficiency in managing numbersBachelors degree required
