This company is one of the largest interactive consultancies in the world and focuses exclusively on digital marketing and technology for Fortune 1000 companies.

The Senior Principal of Strategic Marketing will serve as a senior advisor to client’s marketing executives and advise on strategic business and marketing problems.
This person will champion the needs and requirements of the CMO on our cross-functional teams, synthesize diverse inputs and opinion into a conclusive recommendation and actionable plan.  Architecting our marketing leadership capabilities, offerings and methodologies, the SPSM is an industry thought leader, producing intellectual property to advance the practice as well as our market presence.

You’ll offer a mix of strategic marketing planning, from discovery and insights through marketing mix and budget allocation, implementation and optimization. In addition, you’ll be responsible for the development of marketing frameworks and methodologies including customer strategies, product strategies, pricing strategies, promotion strategies, and targeting strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital marketing, emerging technologies and evolving consumer behavior trends, with a solid understanding of the usage and unique characteristics of digital communications channels and how each contributes to business value for our clients.

Core Duties Include:
·        Architect, champion and leader of marketing consulting engagements, aligning marketing goals to ideas, brands, people, capabilities, process and technology to achieve measurable business outcomes
·        Advisor to client on the optimal organization structure, roles, process to achieve
business goals, and help manage marketing programs and “always on” digital
communication channels
·        Assist clients in transformation to customer-centricity, including: a) bridging
organizational gaps between product development, marketing and customer
support, and b) fundamentally changing how the organization brokers and actions on key consumer insights

Strategic Analysis
·        Highly quantitative approach to marketing planning, program activation and ROI, from forecasting anticipated results through optimization
·        Customer segment analysis, sizing, prioritization and strategy to achieve business goals
·        Deep experience and understanding of how marketing communication channels are best used in combination within marketing programs to drive positive
outcomes for the business and brand
·        Skills in translating grand-scale marketing ideas to results-based stories that
secure client support and investment

Influence, Collaboration & Connection
·        Executive client relationship development, elevating our Company to trusted-advisor
status, in close partnership with our client engagement and account leadership
·        Leads and aligns marketing activities across client organization and partners,
including brand, CRM, search, social, media, mobile, content, analytics and technology
·        Proactively seek out opportunities to deepen client relationships and "elevate
the conversation" within client organizations

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
·        15+ years of professional experience including: 1) 7+ years of post-Master’s degree strategic marketing experience at a premiere strategic consulting firm such as Ernst & Young, Anderson, BCG, etc.; and 2)  min. 3-5+ years agency experience
·        Top 10 MBA – Wharton, Kellogg, etc.
·        Deep experience across marketing communications channels (paid, owned and
earned media and experiences); managing and advising on annual marketing
budgets >$100M
·        Experience with media mix/attribution/forecasting tools and cross-channel marketing platforms; understanding uses and limitations, plus organization
implications of use
·        Driven, results-oriented, curious and collaborative individual who can translate unstructured business situations into innovative marketing solutions that move clients’ business forward
