Award-winning integrated marketing agency is seeking to add a Technology Manager to their rapidly growing team. The big picture for this role is that it will be instrumental in creating an exceptional technology department that will lead the Agency into developing high-end physical/digital experiences for their clients, using emerging technologies like kinect, cinder and phantom. The Agency is poised to build a department that will bring in more creative work from current clients and be key to selling their creative to new ones. Best candidates are expected to have mastery and deep knowledge of multiple technologies; the ability to manage development of all projects for an account; the ability to develop strategies for clients; ability to interact and present in front of senior clients and potential clients; develop trust and close relationships with mid-level and operational client stakeholders and agency partners and drive new business and agency growth. The Technology Manager will be the technical contact for clients and third-party contractors, provide assistance in project planning and estimation and definition for system or services architecture. The ideal candidate currently holds a similar agency position or is a Sr. Developer ready to move into a Technology Manager level position -  and has a strong background and high level of expertise in technology research, system design and product development. 

This position will require the Technology Manager to be as technology and language agnostic as possible; however, our client has a strong immediate need for ASP.NET and advanced Front End knowledge, so please expect to be hands-on in the short-run.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and offer guidance on how to best leverage them.
  • Work with clients to develop and implement sound technical innovations.
  • Counsel clients on issues, crisis management, plans and activities; put practical measures in place to implement recommendations.
  • Help translate client business requirements into clear technical specs.
  • Estimate development needs on projects with accuracy to ensure our ability to deliver proposed concepts and designs.
  • Promote technical excellence through the standardization of development procedures 
  • Define coding standards and disseminate best practices within the team
  • Supervise the management of the development team and offer strong leadership, coaching, and guidance to developers while facilitating on-the-job training and mentoring through code reviews and QA.
  • Recommend new processes to improve team performance.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness of our deliverables.
  • Participate in new business efforts by researching and prototyping technology solutions.
  • 5-7 years experience in development position
  • Prior work in a creative focused development environment, preferably from within the digital marketing industry; agency-side a big plus
  • Advanced ASP .NET skills, and a mix of front end skills such as HTML/HTML5, PHP, CSS and/or JQuery, JavaScript
  • Experience managing 1-5 people min.
  • Computer Sciences degree
  • Willingness/ability to provide hands-on coding support
  • Can speak fluently on current development languages and emerging technologies/trends
