Media Planner/Buyer with 5-7 years of experience; North Andover, MA

We are a small but flourishing boutique advertising and marketing communications agency located on the North Shore. Business is booming, and as such, we need to add a Media Supervisor to our team. The ideal candidate will be media agnostic and on top of emerging media trends and best practices. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a collaborative environment without the Boston commute. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player that desires to continue a long-term career in the advertising industry. Applicants must have excellent communication and teamwork skills, the ability to prioritize and stay organized and display an ongoing sense of urgency.

Day-to-Days:
  • Acting as the primary internal and client facing lead for the media department, conduct traditional and digital media research, planning, placement and analysis
  • Develop, manage and monitor effective integrated media plans and buys including revisions, budgeting, execution, reporting, web metrics, campaign effectiveness, optimization and invoice reconciliation.
  • Execute all digital plans and provide stewardship of all active buys, including pre-logs, post-logs, make-goods, tear-sheets and screenshots across accounts
  • Determine, develop and execute the optimal media strategy/plans according to client budget and goals; maintain client media budget
  • Negotiate and secure media buys to ensure the most cost-effective buys and most effective placements; this includes booking media space, generating insertion orders/cancellation orders/change requests and obtaining client approval on all media authorizations
  • Implement media plans using online resources and media planning software, ensuring the timely placement of all media
  • Identifying new interactive marketing opportunities and recommending them to interactive media planners and buyers
  • Tracking, compiling and reporting of digital analytics; recommendations for optimization strategies
Must Have's:
  • 5-7 years of media planning/buying experience
  • Expertise in all matters of traditional and digital media planning and buying
  • Proven ability to work with advertising planning, buying, tracking and analytical tools
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical proficiency, particularly with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with any of the following a BIG PLUS: This position will require regular use of the following: MRI, Kantar StrADegy, Strata View, SRDS, ComScore, DoubleClick, SQAD, IMS Suite, Google Analytics
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
  • Detail oriented and able to produce accurate work
  • A four-year college degree
