New Business Development Specialist - Digital Agency; Boston, MA

  • Develop and execute an aggressive new business development strategy and pipeline to grow existing accounts and pitch new business
  • Identify target industries, potential clients and opportunities on an ongoing basis; develop and maintain a target prospect list, and manage ongoing communications with these companies
  • Leverage existing relationships and industry contacts through your established networks, as well as those of the leadership team; stay abreast of industry trends across all agency service categories and communicate internally
  • Qualify and advance new business leads from initial point of contact or inbound request through to proposal delivery or pitch phase; oversee the development and follow-up on all RFPs
  • Partner with leadership team to develop RFP responses to ensure successful presentations
  • Conduct quarterly and yearly pipeline analysis, conversion rates and funnel activity to set expectations for future goals

Must haves:

  • 10+ years experience working in business development within the marketing, customer experience, or advertising field 
  • 3-5 years of experience working in business development in agency environment
  • Established network of senior-level business or decision maker contacts 
  • Experience with revenue forecasting including building business models and developing assumptions based on trends and pipeline analysis 
  • Proven track record of consistently reaching sales targets and business development goals  
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility as an experienced business professional and trust among new business prospects.  
  • Strong leadership skills and collaborative approach to working across multiple disciplines to evolve product and offerings strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage prospect relationships through the entire sales cycle
  • Generous compensation: base salary, bonus and profit-sharing
  • This position is full time, 100% on site during regular business hours
