Manager, Integrated Project Management for Boston-based advertising agency

This privately-owned, full-service, integrated marketing agency is growing their digital team and needs to add a digital-savvy integrated project manager to their delivery team to oversee the delivery best-in-class integrated AND digital solutions for their clients. Business is booming, and they've added over 15 people to their digital team alone in the past few years. This person will manage a 5-person team AND provide hands-on project management for a couple of important life sciences accounts. This shop does a 50/50 blend of traditional/digital work that runs the gamut from traditional print advertising to online video to ipad projects, mobile apps and sites, etc.

They ideal candidate will have 7-10 years' integrated project management experience with a strong focus on digital, plus 2-3 years' life sciences account experience.

  • Provide a high level of oversight to all project management activities within agency
  • Demonstrating a high commitment to improvement, identify and implement project management best practices and processes
  • Work closely with Account Services team to create a collaborative, cohesive relationship between the two departments
  • Train/mentor project managers as needed
  • Manage the internal workflow of a variety of integrated marketing projects from concept through completion; campaigns include a mix of print, direct marketing, online video, sales collateral, websites, microsites, landing pages, mobile apps/sites, installations
  • Develop, implement and manage/monitor scopes of work, schedules and budgets/estimates, as well as resource planning/allocation
  • Set and monitor internal deliverables and expectations to teammates; identify areas of risk and proactively mitigate via a collaborative team effort
  • Evaluate creative ideas, and ensure that proposed work can be delivered against agreed-upon technical, timing and budgetary constraints
  • Establish and lead daily/weekly team status meetings as necessary
  • Pro-actively identify and resolve potential issues, possible roadblocks and problems

  • 1+ year experience training and managing a project delivery team
  • Proven experience running large-scale, complex engagements and cross functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • 7-10 years' experience as an integrated project manager
  • 2-3 years' of experience working on a life sciences/pharma/biotech account; experience with pharma compliance and regulatory a big plus
  • 2-3 years' of experience managing digital projects
  • 2+ years' experience in an agency environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects of varying scope, and prioritize effectively
  • Experience producing print ads, direct mail, sales collateral, websites/microsites, online video, mobile and tablet apps/sites, responsive design, social media, interactive kiosks and/or installations, digital/banner ads, and experiential and digital out-of-home projects
  • Experience with "direct to doctors" and consumer-focused marketing (direct to caregivers and patients) preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of digital technology, passion for emerging trends and technologies
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organization and negotiation skills
  • East Coast candidates preferred; some relo available
