Lead Information Architect - Providence or Jersey City



Our client is one of the top leaders in the digital space and UX realm. They use multi-channel digital strategies to reach their target audiences. A thriving culture of innovation and collaboration have always been the key to their success, and user experience drives their digital engagements. As a result, their UX team includes some of the best brains in the industry and people hang their hats here a long time, constantly challenged.We need to add a lead-level IA to our growing in-house UX team. This extensive team partners with the business, creative and technology teams to design websites, mobile applications, and other online experiences that drive our business, our clients' customer experience, and ultimately our clients' success.

Day to Days: 

Provide a great customer experience and guide a cross-functional team toward a standard of excellence, setting the bar very high Collaborate with other UX, technology, creative and delivery teammates to simplify complex systems Ensure design team efforts are in sync with the client's business goals, expectations and budget
Develop and/or participate in the development of user personas and scenarios; assist with user research


Define site/application structures and create user-centric site maps, wireframes and user

flow charts 
Develop, test and refine designs and prototypes 
Partner with our technology team to ensure technical feasibility and seamless implementation 

Conduct comparative and competitive analyses of other products' functions and behaviors
Convey your design deliverables through in-person and remote presentations as well as 
through intuitive documentation

Requirements:


5-7 years' experience in an Information Architect role
Experience with "customer experience" focused digital engagements
Experience with transactional UX site design - ie. e-commerce sites, education industry, etc.
Solid IA skills demonstrated via an online or PDF portfolio that best showcase your UX work; samples can include a mix of the following: sample research, strategy documents, wireframesschematics, presentations, site maps, use case scenarios, user case flows, prototypes,content audits and similar that truly are best in show solutions. Your portfolio should tell a story, and outline each project from start to finish and show us how you approach a problem/challenge and solve it, step by step. Show us the final product and the results it generated. Please include Portfolio URL on resume. Feel free to redact any proprietary or client-sensitive information. 

Other:
This position does not require travel.
Jersey City office is a reverse commuter rail accessible trip from Manhattan w/free shuttle from train stop

Providence office is a reverse commute from Boston via local bus from train stration
This full time position is 100% on site during regular business hoursLocal candidates preferred; no relo available
